Most sculptures can be re-created to suit personal preferences for colors, masculine, feminine or non gender specific images or etched with personal symbolism.
Clay is my Blank Canvas
All figures are etched with eternal world symbols creating another layer of deeper meaning affirming qualities like grounding, fertile fields of future potential, cycles of transformation, passion and balance.
Why do they all have white "skin"?
For more vibrant colors, I use a white clay body as my underglazes are translucent & layered like water colors. A "line" color sets a vibrational tone & "wakes up" the personality, typically purple, midnight blue or royal blue green. Other colors that allow the figure to feel more ethnic can be used upon request.
